On March 23, 2000, at an alumni reception in Shreveport, Louisiana, the Tech's BEST Giving Program was introduced. The program was conceived and initiated to help bring into fulfillment the strategic directions of the College by the year 2010. The goal of the program is $60M. There are seven areas for which dollar amounts have been specified.
